Loving Father, today we pause to reflect on and give thanks for the vastness of your love in creating each one of us. Long before we took our first breath, you knew us and marked us with a place and purpose in this world. Though there have been times when we have wandered from you, you have never wandered from us and your great love remains the same.
With love, you chose our abilities, our strengths, and yes, even our weaknesses. Each characteristic was placed within us to match the role we would possess here on earth and ultimately give you glory. Please, forgive us for the times we have loathed your choices and grant us grace to accept who we are and how we might influence the world for your kingdom.
Father, where there are gaps in our understanding of your will for our lives, we pray you give us wisdom. We want our lives to be a reflection of You; we pray for wisdom to use our gifts and talents wisely. We pray for open doors to proclaim your unfailing love that others may come to know You. To You alone, O Lord, be all the glory!
“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim Your unfailing love in the morning, Your faithfulness in the evening. You thrill me, Lord, with all You have done for me! I sing for joy because of what You have done.” (Psalm 92:1-2,4 NLT)
In Jesus Name,
